I first saw these guys on the main stage at the Sasquatch Festival last year. I was really impressed with them and enjoyed their set immensely. I saw them again at FYF in LA, then again in LA, and most recently in Santa Ana. It seems they’ve been touring intensely–that’s four times I’ve seen them in the course of a year, and thrice here in Southern California. They only have one album out, so the sets have been about the same, with a few new songs and covers thrown in there. Josiah Johnson, guitarist and vocalist, did an excellent version of Dylan’s “Boots of Spanish Leather.” They play infectious pop-rock-folk stuff, what some may call “Americana.” But I tend to bridle at easy classifications, and these guys don’t fit solidly in one category or another.
I suggest you give them a listen at your leisure. You won’t be disappointed.
