Robbed

I am, by no means, a boxing expert nor an aficionado, but I’ve seen my fair share of fights; I’ve been a fan since I was a kid.
And I know bullshit when I see it. Manny Paquiao was dealt an injustice tonight. He won his fight against Tim Bradley handily, out-punching and out-landing his slower and weaker opponent. The numbers speak for themselves, and I have no idea what fight the judges were watching. Even the judge who scored for Manny had it at 115-113, which is still way too close.
Maybe it’s because I was watching the fight in a room full of Filipinos, but I doubt it. Paquiao wasn’t hurt once, was never shaky, never even slipped, which is way more than can be said for Bradley.
I have the same feeling now as when I watched the Mayweather fight last year and Floyd threw a cheap-shot at his opponent while he was apologizing: total lack of satisfaction.
Knock-outs are so much cleaner. Chalk up another nonsense decision to the Las Vegas judges.
November will be a long time in coming.
